Waiting around the airport for a connecting or delayed flight is sometimes painful, but not having free Wi-Fi can make it a horrific experience. With that in mind, a computer security engineer and avid traveler has created an interactive map with the information flyers need to access airport Wi-Fi.
Anil Polat has released an 'always-up-to-date' list of wireless passwords for airports all over the world, which is also in app form for an even more accessibility. 'Finding an open wireless connection in many airports isn't always easy, or possible, without a password,' Polat shares in his blog foXnoMad. Polat reached out to his readers and asked for passwords they may have from airports across the world, which he then compiled into a simple list to share with the masses. The map is a more cutting-edge design of airport wireless networks, as it lets readers easily search through it , add to it and stay up to day with new information. 'I'll update the map to help your fellow travelers stay connected when they're hopping from airport to airport.' Polat suggests getting a USB wireless antenna to extend your wireless range. This lets you sit further from the source, 'which might mean the difference between a cold floor or a cushy cafe seat,' Polat shares. Check the interactive map below for the airport you'll be visiting.
